- See the process carried out high up in the trees – Learn how locals work at great heights to collect the raw materials needed for syrup-making.
- Pour the juice into a filtering pot – Understand the careful process of refining collected palm juice before it is turned into syrup.
- Filter out dust – See how natural filtration methods remove impurities, ensuring a clean, high-quality product.
WHILE WAITING FOR THE JUICE TO CONDENSED, WE VISIT THE KHMER WEAVING VILLAGE AND COME BACK LATER
- Head to Khmer Village where you see people weaving their clothes in Khmer style which is a very special activity to see that locals still do all their work by hand. You can also bring some “handcrafted scarf or clothes home”.
- Back to the palm village- Cook the syrup – Watch as the filtered liquid is slowly heated, transforming into a rich, golden syrup.
- Stir the syrup by hand until it thickens – Witness the final step of the process, where hand-stirring brings the syrup to its perfect consistency.
- Visit the Tra Su cajuput: Trà Sư Cajuput Forest (Rừng Tràm Trà Sư) is a famous ecotourism destination in An Giang Province, Vietnam. It’s a vast, lush cajuput (Melaleuca) forest, home to diverse flora and fauna, especially bird species. This area is a prime example of the Mekong Delta’s wetland ecosystem, offering stunning natural scenery, rich biodiversity, and peaceful waterways covered in a green layer of duckweed.
✅ Boat Tours – Explore the forest by motorboat and sampan, gliding through dense cajuput trees.
✅ Wildlife Spotting – The forest is home to over 140 bird species, including rare storks and herons.
